Details – Hexynyl DNA
Click chemistry refers to a set of reactions that are modular, wide in scope, give very high yields, generate only inoffensive byproducts, and are stereospecific. The copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) is one of the most popular click chemistry reactions and allows for the efficient conjugation of a terminal alkyne (provided by the Hexynyl modification) with an azide-labeled molecule.
For 5'-end Hexynyl-modified DNA oligos, combine with our Hexynyl Label Chip.
For unlabeled DNA oligos, combine with our Standard Chip.
One Hexynyl cartridge provides reagent material for 100 bases. Oligo yield depends on sequence length:
25 nt → 4 oligos
20 nt → 5 oligosHexynyl-modified oligos can be used for:
- Attaching fluorescent dyes, quenchers, or other functional groups post-synthesis
- Creating custom-labeled probes for advanced imaging applications
- Developing bioconjugates with improved cell penetration capabilities
- Designing complex molecular tools with precise spatial organization
Our patented chemistry advances DNA synthesis beyond halogenated solvents while maintaining full compatibility with the broad ecosystem of DNA and RNA modifications. The cartridges are a fully closed system — reagents and waste remain sealed inside, ensuring safe, contact-free handling.
Cartridges must be disposed of as solvent waste. Our synthesis chemistry eliminates halogenated solvents, minimizing the environmental impact of your consumables. Microfluidic chips can be disposed of with standard laboratory waste.
